It was the third day of our trip.

우리 여정의 세번째 날이었다. 

We were going to Morono.

우리는 Morono를 갈 예정이었다.

It was the 8:30 when the boat came to pick us up.

배가 우리를 데리러 왔을 때 8시 30분 이었다.

When we got to the island, there was a guy waiting to lead us to the glass shop.

우리가 섬에 도착하자 우리를 유리 상점에 안내하기 위해 기다리는 사람이 기다리고 있었다.

When we got there the guy led us to the basement.

우리가 도착하자 그 사람이 우리를 지하실로 안내 했다.

As you know basements are usually freezing cold.

너도 알다시피 지하실은 엄청 추운 곳이다.

However, this basement was steaming hot.

그러나, 이 지하실은 너무 뜨거웠다.

It was like stepping into an oven.

마치 오븐에 들어가는 것 같았다.

At the bottom of the steps, there was a man he said “Hi.”

계단 끝에 이르자 한 남자가 안녕 이라고 말했다.

I was surprised because you'd think an Italian glass maker would usually speak Italian and nothing else

나는 너도 생각하듯 이탈리아 유리공이 이탈리아어만 말하고, 다른 언어는 못할 것이라고 생각했기 때문에 놀랐다. 

We all said "Hi" back, and he asked “Where are you from?”

우리 모두 "안녕하세요." 라고 대답했고, 그는 "당신들은 어디서 왔나요?" 라고 물었다.

I answered “Mattawan Michigan U.S.A.

나는 "미국 미시건 마타완에서 왔어요" 라고 대답했다.

He said “I went to college at Western Michigan and came back here to be a glass maker. Now do you want to make some glass?”

그는 "저는 서부 미시건에서 대학을 다녔고, 여기 돌아와서 유리공이 되었어요. 지금 당신은 유리 만들어 보고 싶나요?"

I said “yes,” and I thought that this was going to be so cool.

나는 "네"라고 말했고, 이것이 엄청 멋진 일일 거라고 생각했다.

He told me not to breathe in.

그는 나에게 숨을 들이쉬지 말라고 말해주었다.

When I had to take a breath, I took my mouth away from the tube and inhaled.

내가 숨을 쉬어야 했을 때, 나는 튜브에서 입을 떼고 숨을 들이쉬어야 했다. 

After the little tour he gave us, we went out to buy some glass in Morono.

그가 선사한 잠깐의 투어 이후에, 우리는 Morono에서 유리를 사러 나갔다.
